MGM CityCenter - Second Cable Liner Shuttle Opens in Las Vegas
On Wednesday December 16, 2009, at 8:00 p.m. local time, the biggest privately funded construction project ever developed in the USA opened in Las Vegas – MGM’s CityCenter.
Doppelmayr Cable Car’s custom designed CABLE Liner Shuttle system forms an integral part of this historic project. DCC, a subsidiary of the Doppelmayr/Garaventa Group, built the 650 m (2,132 ft) APM with a capacity of 3,000 people per hour per direction in cooperation with the MGM Mirage Group. The contract value for DCC is approximately US$ 66 million (EUR 45 million.).
